Yvonne Gandy
A former teacher, senior leader, advisor, Ofsted Inspector, author and independent consultant, Yvonne is passionate about education and its relevance to young people's learning.
Already working for the Association of Physical Education, the Youth Sport Trust, Sports Coach UK, and Sport England amongst others, Yvonne joins the Premier Sport team bringing with her a wealth of experience.
Her areas of expertise include insuring excellence and high quality provision in schools as well as delivering education advice and mentoring.
Her passion, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence is driven by making a difference to the lives, aspiration and engagement of young people and adults who work with them as learners.
Working with the national College of School Leadership (NCSL) she is an accredited national leadership facilitator, leadership coach, graduation board chairperson for colleague's assessment in their readiness for headship.
Yvonne also works with Local Authorities, leading in areas that include wider community sport school based capital programmes; physical education, physical activity and school sport; leadership professional learning development; professional development and learning networks.
And working with national agencies she co-leads the management of the national implementation of the professional development strand of PE and School Sport and its quality assurance in over 100 Local Delivery Agencies. She has recently worked with Sport Wales in the review of impact of the PE and School Sport (PESS) Strategy in six Local Authorities.
