Even our newest coaches are:
Minimum NGB level 2 qualified in a sport, suitably qualified in the sports coached, behaviour management trained, and assessed to a 90 point criteria at least twice a year.
Our Instructors have also received: lesson planning, pedagogy, differentiation and child assessment training, and must pass an Ofsted style inspection to 70 per cent or above.
Our Beacon Instructors: must pass two Ofsted style inspections to 90 per cent or above and an external assessment verification of 90 per cent plus grading.
From there, our staff can progress to eventually reach Staff Trainer, therefore delivering high quality coaching staff nationally.
To add to this, we have a multitude of training events through the year including NGB sports coaching awards, classroom management training and special educational needs training.
And of course, all our coaches are CRB checked and First Aid trained. Our internal CPD programme is second to none and whilst schools are closed during half term holidays our coach development team are working with coaches and instructors on specific topics and how to implement fun, innovative learning into their lessons to engage all pupils and deliver consistent high quality experiences.
