OLYMPIC LEGEND VISITS SUTTON SCHOOL CHILDREN - 5th Sep 2011
Olympic legend Duncan Goodhew spent the afternoon discussing the importance of balanced lifestyles, healthy eating and exercise with school children from Sutton.
The Olympic gold medallist and Premier Sport ambassador understands the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and was keen to teach children the benefits of following such a regime.
Thirty children from the Sutton area attended the local Chewits Sports Course, and his inspirational speech to both children and parents coincided with a grand prize giving of certificates, medals and trophies for all the participants.

Premier Sport Area Coordinator Steve Harvey said;
“The children had a fantastic afternoon. Duncan participated in a number of sports and activities and when he passed his Olympic Gold medal round the kids couldn’t believe it! He was a real inspiration and I’m sure the message he communicated to the kids will stay with them for life”.
Chewits Sports Courses are delivered by Premier Sport Coaches and run throughout the school holidays for boys and girls of all abilities. Providing 6 hours of physical activity, there are over 20 cool activities to enjoy including martial arts, dance, gymnastics, cheerleading, football, rugby and multi-sports.
