Gymnastics
From the basics of jumping and rolling to more advanced gymnastic moves, Premier Sport gym clubs are specifically designed to cater for children of all abilities.
Premier gym kids learn agility and suppleness in exciting and creative lessons which give them the skills and confidence to express themselves through the many disciplines of gymnastics.
Children develop core skills as well as personal routines while learning important lessons on health, fitness and body awareness.
Gymnasts follow the Premier Sport Gymnastic Programme through levels of achievement while they grow in confidence and often go on to pursue and develop their skills through strong local club links.
All children are registered and deregistered in via our strict registration policies, ensuring they are in a unique child-safe learning environment.
As with all our clubs, children are encouraged to follow the Premier Sport FUN AGREEMENT, which encourages them to take ownership of each session in a bid to ensure behaviour and respect is a priority in each and every activity.
Awards are presented at the end of every session for performance and attitude and certificates are awarded to each participant on completion of the course.
These are some good Gymnastics tips for children to get them ready to play...

Balancing
- A small body part to balance on (like your foot), is called a point! A large body part, (like your back), is called a patch!
- Use your arms and legs to help balance by stretching them out wide
- To make sure your balance is strong and still, count to three in your head slowly
Practise
- On your own or with a friend, practice making different balances on small body parts (points).
- Always make sure you hold the balance still and strong for the slow count of three. When balancing, try to point and stretch all body parts which are not holding your body weight, this is called body tension!
- Make more balances using large body parts (Patches)
